Cariappa Memorial Park was built as a tribute to the memory of Field Marshall K.M Cariappa of Karnataka. The park was built in 1996 in a section of the parade grounds between Cubbon Road and MG Road in Bangalore. The park is expansive spreading over 22 acres. There are six segments in the park. A beautiful entrance plaza will welcome you on your entry. There is a monument commemorating the memory of Cariappa. The monument is monolithic and seven-feet in height.
The most attractive feature of the Cariappa Memorial Park is an enormous waterfall made by man. There is also a pretty pond which beckons different types of birds to the park.
If you want to get the unique taste of Cariappa Memorial Park then come to listen to the military bands performing here. The bands perform in the elevated lawn which is the bandstand. You can comfortably sit around the bandstand in the grassy dunes. The bands play every fortnight.
This park is a complete entertainment package for the children. The play area of the park is designed scientifically to enhance physical and mental capabilities of the children. The play area has Tarzan-swing, zig-zag tunnels, balance bars, sand pits, Burma-Bridge, spider web and more.
Cariappa Memorial Park walker’s track is a beautiful path to stroll. Stroll in the path lined with over 3000 plant species which grow without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers strengthening the effort to be eco-friendly.

The park is open for visitors from 5:30 pm to 8pm in weekdays, 1pm to 7pm on Saturdays and 9am to 7pm on Sundays.
