HAL Airport STD ISD Services

HAL airport, is an international airport situated in the IT city of Bangalore. It is owned by the government of India but its functions are managed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The airport services are provided jointly by Air India and HAL. Being one of the major civil airports of India, special attention is paid to satisfaction of the needs of the customers. With the purpose of providing world class services to its customers the airport authorities had decided to set up several shops which could cater to the other needs of the passengers besides the other ground facilities provided by the airport.

HAL airport passenger services include book shops, beer pub , handicrafts shops and ice-cream parlor as well. But one of the very important services available at the HAL airport is the STD and ISD services. Communicating with near and dear ones is a basic necessity of every individual. Keeping with this tradition the HAL airport STD and ISD services provide passengers of the incoming and outgoing flights with the facility of cheap means of communication.

The STD and ISD facility at HAL airport is provided by Postal and Telegraph department of Karnataka Government. At HAL airport telephones are provided in the security hold areas of both domestic as well as International terminals.

In international terminals only the services are provided free of cost, while for domestic terminal a nominal charge is levied for using the telephone. Telephone services are available outside the security hold area as well. Passengers use these telephones to convey news of their well being to anxious family members. These STD and ISD services are also used to inform relatives about the arrival of a flight any delay or cancellation of flights can also be informed through the STD ISD services at HAL airport. The cost per call is quite low compared to the cost outside the airport premises. This step has been taken to provide customers with best of facilities at HAL airport.
